From Our Readers

- Natalie, mother of 3

I loved the image of the dad in the car with the conference call, the email about a sick kid, and the breast milk baggie when making a bottle.  This feels like a very accurate, relatable portrait of our family experience and evolves the dated image of family dynamics into the 2020s where dual working families and caregiving are shared responsibilities.

It’s a great addition to the Sam Sliney children’s library for children and families exploring the nurturing roles of caregiving across the spectrum of lifestyles, encouraging a playful look at how love takes all shapes and sizes!

- Natalie’s 10 year old daughter

It is great! I liked how it's about dads taking care of their kids and everything they help with. My favorite was the dad in the car with the baby twins because he was driving and it reminded me of a home video I watched one time of daddy picking me up from daycare.

- Chris, dad of 2

All The Things Our Daddy Can Do is a heartwarming and empowering follow-up to the author’s first book, All the Things Our Mother Can Do. Together, these titles thoughtfully challenge traditional gender roles and remind readers—young and old—that limitations only exist if we accept them. With vibrant illustrations and engaging, accessible language, this book offers a glimpse into the everyday life of a devoted father, celebrating the joys and responsibilities of hands-on parenting. It beautifully portrays the balance of partnership and the importance of mutual support in raising a family. A delightful read for children and parents alike, this book—like its predecessor—gently affirms that there’s no limit to what we can do.  All The Things Our Daddy Can Do is a heartwarming and empowering follow-up to the author’s first book, All the Things Our Mother Can Do. - Melissa, mom of 3

As a mom of two with a wonderfully helpful husband, I found All the Things Our Daddy Can Do to be a heartwarming celebration of fatherly love and dedication. The vibrant illustrations and simple text capture the everyday moments—like trips to the doctor or cooking dinner—that make dads so special to their kids. Reading it was the perfect reminder of my own husband's contributions to our family. This book is a perfect tribute to the unsung heroes in our homes!

This book is a great way to share with our children from an early age that they can be anything! Love that the women depicted in this book are pregnant, also signify that motherhood and careers are achievable. Thanks for inspiring!
